CD launch tour: Quantz is an Ass

It is 24 January 1758 at the Prussian court: King Frederick the Great is celebrating his birthday and Apollo’s Cabinet invites the audience to step right into the festivities. This Baroque time‑travel is concert, storytelling, and party game all in one, with plenty of wit and many musical surprises. There will be singing, guessing games and even joint composing. Acting as charming master of ceremonies, Frederick’s flute teacher Johann Joachim Quantz guides the evening and ensures that the audience not only listens but becomes part of the celebration.
