The Prince Regent’s Band will be performing concerts showcasing the adventurous repertoire written for innovative brass instruments during the long nineteenth century. “The Best in Europe” highlights the emergence of the original “Prince Regent’s Band”, the elite ensemble of the future George IV. “Sound and Echo” features an important collection of transcriptions of the vocal works of composers including Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn. “Brazen Harmony” explores the metamorphosis of brass chamber music in France focussing on the compositions of Jean-François Bellon.

All three concerts will be given in buildings of historic importance and streamed online.
