La Serenissima and Adrian Chandler (Director/Violin) rehearse and perform a new programme of works exploring the little-known music of Anglo-Italian composer Nicola Matteis the Younger (c1678-1737) alongside works by Brescianello, Caldara, Purcell, Telemann and Vivaldi. The project will encompass two rehearsals and three live concerts, benefitting audiences in London, East Anglia and the South West. Later in the year, a recording of this programme will be made for release on Signum. Support from Continuo Foundation is enabling the employment of 16 instrumentalists.
