Playing cards have been used throughout history to entertain and to educate resulting in an extraordinary array of playing card packs with different designs. For this project, Ensemble Augelletti will extend their series to explore a further 13 pieces of music and another 13 different historical playing cards (one for each number in the spades suit). These will be released as live video performances along with a conversation about the historical/cultural context of the playing card.
