Sounds Historical take their new programme 'The Bird Fancyer's Delight' on tour across Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire.

Performing on over 30 different instruments, we play a variety of bird-inspired works by composers across several centuries. With a carefully researched and arranged programme, we speak to our audiences about the wide variety of instruments, composers and styles that we play.

We collaborate with local communities to reach audiences of all ages in areas that don't often have access to early music. Our concerts are inclusive, accessible and interactive - with this series including a game of bird bingo!

The composers featured are Poglietti, Orme, van Eyck, Byrd, Simpson, Uccellini, Arne, Zahnhausen, Couperin and Morley.
