Phantasia will be bringing an innovative progamme to 5 areas in southern England which are underserved for performances of this kind. The concerts centre around Britain at two different points in time – the late 18th century and the 21st century. The first half features art and folk music in equal measure, and music which blends both styles. The second half has contemporary music written for 18th century instruments, connected by the British theme. The combination of soprano, violin, mandora and bassoon offers a wide range of possibilities and timbres, all delivered with Phantasia’s trademark engagement with the audience.
