Title

POCKET SINFONIA

Mozart and a Miracle

Image-empty-state.png
Mozart and a Miracle is a series of three concerts that aim to recreate some of the atmosphere of wonderful 19th-century living room parties, where the intimacy of a chamber music performance was applied to orchestral-scale pieces.

Pocket Sinfonia will take audiences on a journey through the dark wintery nights of Mozart’s Piano Concerto no. 24 in C minor transcribed and liberally embellished by J. N. Hummel, leading to the Christmas cheer of Mozart’s Sleigh Ride in a new transcription by Pocket Sinfonia and Haydn’s ‘Miracle’ Symphony no. 102 in B flat in another historical transcription, this time created by London-based composer Muzio Clementi.
