Celebrating their 40th birthday season in 2022, Gabrieli will revive the ensemble’s iconic programme, Venetian Coronation, for the first time in nearly seven years, marking the 10th anniversary since their 2012 New Venetian Coronation recording. This lavish sequence reconstructs the coronation mass of the Doge Marino Grimani, balancing festivity and solemnity in a compelling performance of music by Andrea and Giovanni Gabrieli.

Performing this symbolic programme in London, Manchester and York, Venetian Coronation will shine a light on Gabrieli’s world-class musicians whilst also focusing on supporting, reconnecting and building audiences within the UK.
