THE MOZARTISTS

Mozart Wind Sextets

Image-empty-state.png
The Mozartists will film and present a concert of two of Mozart’s Divertimenti for Wind Sextet as part of its MOZART 250 series. These rarely-programmed works were composed between July 1775 and August 1776, and reveal a new, quintessentially Mozartian sound-world – full of both rustic charm and profound serenity – which over the following few years would lead to the celebrated Serenades K.375 and K.388 and the great Divertimento K.361 for 12 winds and double-bass.
