The Planets Pre-imagined

Image-empty-state.png
Inspired by the moods portrayed in Gustav Holst’s 'The Planets', this concert reimagines the celestial journey through orchestral music of the 17th and 18th centuries. Each planet’s character is portrayed through music of the Baroque era, evoking the same astrological archetypes that inspired Holst, rather than the ancient gods who gave the planets their names. This “pre-imagining” of the planets guides us on a journey much like Holst’s masterpiece, the theme offering a gateway to a veritable galaxy of new sounds...To be presented at the Brighton Festival of Early Music 2026.
