LONDON EARLY OPERA
Sacred Monsters: Farinelli and Senesino

London Early Opera are planning a new and important legacy recording 'Sacred Monsters.' This world-premiere album will be led from the harpsichord by the ensemble's director, choral and orchestral conductor, Bridget Cunningham and features two international singers, mezzo-soprano Sharon Carty and countertenor Xavier Sabata, and nineteen baroque instrumentalists. The album is based around Cunningham’s doctoral research into the friendship, liaison and different musical styles which developed between two famous and talented Italian castrati, Farinelli and Senesino, who inspired composers such as Hasse and Porpora to write for them across Europe. The album will be released on Signum Records.
