Title
FRETWORK
Albion

Albion is a loosely structured programme examining British identity though iconic works - Elgar, Napalm Death, Delia Derbyshire, Kate Bush etc. - arranged and manipulated by composers such as Orlando Gough, Gabriel Prokofiev, Blasio Kavuma, Sarah Dacey and many others.
This project includes a workshop, school performance and public performance of works by sixth-form students from a state-funded school in Oxford, in collaboration with Music at Oxford. Fretwork will demonstrate the potential of the viol to students in four workshops. The students will then compose short works for the group, and several will be chosen for performance at the school. Finally, there will be a public performance of Albion, incorporating some of the students' works.
