2023 YEAR IN REVIEW

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO THE CONTINUO COMMUNITY

As our third year draws to a close, we are filled with gratitude for the creativity and generosity that surrounds us through our work. We are proud of the early music community we have nurtured and helped to bring together over the past three years, as well as the lasting impact Continuo has had for musicians and audiences. We thank our Patrons, Advisory Panel members and Trustees for generously giving their time and expertise to help us achieve the impact we have so far:

  • £650,000 awarded to 85 different ensembles

  • 970 individual freelance musician beneficiaries

  • 37,500 live audience members

  • 62,000 online audience members

  • 16 CD recordings released

We are also grateful to the Continuo Connect team - Tim, Hannah and Kirsten - for their fantastic work on behalf of all the early music artists who use this website to promote themselves and their concerts. We have been delighted with the feedback from audiences who find the concert listings very helpful and love the new features page. Musicians have said they appreciate this free platform for sharing their work and growing audiences. If you know someone interested in early music who isn't aware of this resource, please share the new site and help early music accelerate into 2024!

Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who supported us in 2023 by donating, attending a concert, buying a CD or helping spread the word about Continuo Connect.

If you would like to contribute to our 2024 grants, please visit our support page for details. Alternatively, please contact Tina Vadaneaux to discuss how you can make a difference.
