Florilegium have been invited as part of their 30th anniversary celebrations to perform at the Stour Festival on 25 June 2021. The concert “Morning, Noon and Night” is an all-Haydn programme featuring his first symphonies for his new employer, Prince Paul Anton Esterházy. As symphonies for a small chamber orchestra all three exploit the solo skills of each of Florilegium’s principals, from flute to double bass – not to mention heroic horns – each vividly characterised in an almost operatic way.

This performance will be recorded by Polyphonic Films and later streamed to help fund a CD recording with Channel Classics.
