‘The Misadventures of Palisander & the Malfunctioning Time Machine’ is an interactive show, combining historical music with contextualising storytelling & animation.

The plot promotes early music performance & community music making. Caught in a broken time machine, Palisander realise it can be powered by music, helping them to return home. They showcase recorders from 6 inches to 6 feet tall, with music by Bach, Dowland, Playford & Holborne, as well as traditional sea songs, Gaelic, Nordic & Greek music, as the quartet makes stops around the world, at different points in history. There will be interactive elements to the concert, with the audience invited to take part using speech, song & body percussion!
