In June 2023, Hex will perform a series of three performances of French baroque music at Sands Films paired with screenings of iconic films exploring the era of this repertoire, including Tous les Matins du Monde and Le Roi Danse. They will be joined by guest harpsichordist David Wright for the latter.

The concert performances will be accessible in person and live streamed to Sands’ international audience base built up during the pandemic.

By pairing concerts and films, the series aims to introduce a new generation to these incredible cinematic and musical works, and to showcase the development of the viola da gamba and its role in French music.
