The Players of the Hampstead Collective (PHC) will present a concert of chamber music by Franz Schubert, played on historical instruments. The programme centres on Schubert’s The Trout Quintet, alongside Auf dem Strom D943 for soprano, cello, and fortepiano, and other songs. This is our first foray into Romantic repertoire on period instruments, which we hope will become a key feature of our repertoire in the coming years. The ensemble is joined by historical keyboard player Steven Devine, also the musical director of this programme.
