PROJECT DESCRIPTION
After our ‘debut’ in May, Kew Palace are very keen to have us back for a new programme about the musical children of king George II. Concerts in this room are a new thing for the Palace and we have found the HRP team very supportive and enthusiastic.
A new manager at Kenwood House has also shown himself to be very open to our proposal and has the full support of The Friends of Kenwood. Our concerts last year sold out making a profit for the house as well as paying us a half fee so this year I want to bring back the free concerts as an add on to the total package.
1:Music at Kew Palace - a half hour accessible concert on themes related to the Palace, repeated twice during the day and aimed at attracting families into the Palace to hear music for free.

IMPACT OF GRANT
We are excited to further our collaboration with the heritage sector at these two stunning venues. We feel that the free concerts are particularly important and satisfying as they attract a new audience that may never have heard live music before as well as bringing a new layer to the visitor experience of the venue. The support of Continuo has been absolutely key in making these events happen as the heritage sector being a charity itself is loath to spend any money.
