PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Crossing Paths Album Tour (Scotland and Wales) – 12 concerts total
Crossing Paths interweaves repertoire from Elizabethan London with contemporary compositions, creating moments where the two worlds meet, are reimagined, and become something new. Each work connects to journeys, exploring how life’s transitions help us embark on quests for meaning. With stories of relationships, exile, and immigration, historical lines blur as these ideas are explored in modern and historical contexts.
Following the release of our new album, Crossing Paths, funded by Grant 8 of the Continuo Foundation, we will tour Scotland and Wales between April–May 2026. While many dates are scheduled in southern England, we aim to share our music and expand our audience where it is harder to get booked. Physical copies of the album will be sold at concerts and it’s available on Apple Music.
This tour follows our Wigmore Hall debut and includes performances at St Martin-in-the-Fields (London), City Music Society, The Venue for the Leeds International Concert Season, and Stoller Hall (Manchester). The Scottish and Welsh venues support early and contemporary music with links to communities, universities, and music education.
Scottish venues: St Cecilia Hall (Edinburgh), University of Glasgow, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, University of St Andrews, Inverness Chamber Music Society, University of Dundee. Welsh venues: Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (Cardiff), Taliesin Arts Centre, Rhosygilwen Mansion (Pembrokeshire), Dolgellau Music Club, Rhyl Music Club, Tŷ Cerdd Music Centre. Scheduling is in progress.
Target audiences: early and contemporary music enthusiasts, university students and staff, young composers and performers, and concertgoers interested in reflective programming connecting history and modernity. Many venues offer outreach, student engagement, and talks.
Although the album is recorded, some concerts may be recorded or streamed depending on venue capabilities. Additional materials like videos and interviews will be shared online, tagging Continuo Foundation.
Artists’ fees come from ticket sales, split equally, estimated £200 per artist per concert. We plan £15 adult tickets and £5 concessions for 150-200 seat venues.
Venues typically allow 3 hours for lunchtime concerts: 1 hour soundcheck, 1 hour doors open, 1 hour concert. The CF logo will be in all printed programs.
A Continuo Foundation grant will support venue hire, travel, food, accommodation, and rehearsal costs, helping us reach new audiences, strengthen partnerships, and build on recent successes. This tour will position us for future opportunities and broaden our UK and international profile.
SUPPORTING INFORMATION
Londinium Consort is a dynamic, international ensemble composed entirely of early-career instrumentalists and vocalists who graduated within the past two years from London’s leading conservatoires. Since 2022, we have performed at Wigmore Hall, Barbican Centre, St John’s Smith Square, and World Heartbeat, with upcoming debuts at St Martin-in-the-Fields, Stoller Hall, Duke's Hall and The Venue for the Leeds International Concert Season. Our critically acclaimed work includes recordings, broadcasts, and video content featured by major UK classical music organizations.
We are committed to innovative programming that highlights diverse voices, including two new commissions by Japanese-Welsh composer Delyth Field, winner of the NCEM Young Composers Award 2021, set to premiere during this tour. Our ensemble is proudly international, and our work frequently explores global issues such as emigration and identity. Thanks to support from the Musicians’ Company, we also deliver regular school outreach, guiding children through composition workshops and instrument demonstrations. While we are not a registered charity, we operate with a strong educational and social mission at our core.

IMPACT OF GRANT
A Continuo Foundation grant would make this Scotland and Wales tour of Crossing Paths possible by supporting for the venue hire costs, essential travel, accommodation, food and rehearsal costs. It will help us reach new audiences, strengthen venue partnerships, and build on the momentum of our recent album and Wigmore debut. Delivering this tour successfully will position the ensemble for future international opportunities and broaden our profile both in the UK and abroad.
