The 5 core members of The Brook Street Band place Handel’s music centre-stage within their local communities, bringing much-needed live music to listeners of all ages, through workshops, multimedia presentations, schools performances and concerts in the heart of Norfolk, Suffolk and Kent.

Handel was part of a broad European musical community in England, taking inspiration from travel, friends and patrons. His philanthropy helped many in hard times, and in “Celebrating Handel in our local communities” The Brook Street Band explores the many parallels between the eighteenth and twenty-first centuries using Handel’s music, alongside works by his neglected English contemporaries to spark discussion & interest.
