Donations will go 100% towards grants that will directly benefit period-instrument ensembles to ensure their survival - every gift is valuable.
Some examples of costs faced by period-instrument ensembles and musicians

£50 can recover lost ticket sales from 2 seats at a Messiah Performance
£200 covers a performance fee of an ensemble musician
£600 to tune and transport a harpsichord
£2500 for PR and Social Media publicity for a year
£8,000 for technical crew and orchestra management per single performance
£100 can help fund coaching fees for a young artist with a bright future.
£500 covers the fee of the leader of the orchestra for a performance
£1500+ can cover the fee of the conductor, or a high-profile soloist
£6000 for venue hire and ticketing for a performance
*please note, this is not an exhaustive list and omits additonal expense such as rehearsal fees or on-costs such as porterage/travel. These figures above are very approximate, but help to illustrate the necessary expenditure that your donations will enable through Continuo Foundation Grants.
